Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program where community members work together with law enforcement to create a safer neighborhood. This program is based upon the concept of neighbors watching out for neighbors. The success of this program is directly dependent upon citizen participation.

Neighborhood Watch has been used successfully in many cities, and can be one of the most effective methods of decreasing incidents of burglary, theft, vandalism, and drug/gang related crimes in your neighborhood.

If you are interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch group in your area, the police department encourages you to sign up to receive information on how to become a Block Captain.
This is a fun and easy process that will help bring residents together and will have a positive lasting effect in your neighborhood.

If you are interested in starting a group in your neighborhood, please contact Katrinia Jones at (510) 215-3138.
