Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA)   

The Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 was passed by U.S. Congress and was created for the protection of inmates against sexual assaults by other inmates or staff members while confined in various adult and juvenile facilities or institutions.  The goal is to prevent, detect, and respond to such incidents of sexual assault and abuse of an inmate.

 Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) Policy   
License Plate CAThe San Pablo Police Department has utilized an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) system to locate stolen vehicles and wanted persons associated with known vehicles. The San Pablo Police Department stores all data records associated with the ALPR program on secure servers. It is the policy of the San Pablo Police Department to utilize ALPR technology to capture and store digital license plate data and images while recognizing the established privacy rights of the public. The San Pablo Police Department has strict guidelines and policies regarding the use, storage, dissemination, and retention of ALPR records.In compliance with SB34,                                                 a copy of the San Pablo Police Department ALPR policy is available here* for public review.
