Project Overview

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (CCCFPD) is constructing a new County fire station – Fire Station 70 – to replace the existing station on San Pablo Avenue, which was built in 1993. The new fire station will be located at the corner of 23rd Street and Market Avenue.

  • Construction (estimated): July 2019 – December 2020

Project Funding

The total estimated cost of Fire Station 70 is approximately $13 million.

The project has been made possible through the following funding sources:

  • City Funds: ~$4,500,000
  • Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Funds: ~$8,500,000
