Offline Options
Build a fort in your living room- Go old school, using the cushions, blankets and pillows to create a fort or use an indoor tent. If there is enough room, let the kids have a sleepover in it overnight.
Build a city of maze with blocks- Use blocks, boxes, legos and anything else you have on hand. Add trains, cars, people and animals.
Write Letters- Write letters to family and friends. Contact a nearby hospital, senior citizen home or other facility where visits are being restricted. Have your kids write letters and send pictures to brighten the residents’ day or to thank their local medical workers for all they are doing during this time.
Write a story or a comic book- Have your kids write a story about anything! There are great ways to "publish" it using word or other programs. They can even add pictures.
Put on a puppet show- The kids can create the show (giving you some quiet time) and then put on a performance afterwards. You can either make puppets or use stuffed animals, dolls or other toys. Get creative.
