Residential Waste Services

All residential properties are required to have garbage, recycling and organics collection. In San Pablo, these services are provided by Republic Services. For questions regarding your service or bill, contact Republic Services at 510-262-1610 or visit RepublicServices.com

Business Waste Services

San Pablo businesses are eligible to participate in the curbside recycling and organics programs. These services will allow businesses to decrease the amount of solid waste sent to the landfill.

State law requires businesses that meet the threshold identified below to have recycling and organics service. Businesses with questions about the current waste laws and how they apply to their business can contact RecycleMore at 510-215-3126.

California State Assembly Bill 341 (AB 341) requires recycling service for: 

  • Businesses that generate 4+ cubic yards of trash each week
  • Multi-family dwellings with 5+ units 

Recycling service is included at no additional charge for most business accounts. To request recycling service, contact Republic Services at 510-262-7100.

California State Assembly Bill 1826 (AB 1826) requires organic waste collection for:

  • Businesses that generate 4+ cubic yards of any type of waste each week
  • Multi-family dwellings with 5+ units

Organics service is included at no additional charge for most business accounts. Food scraps, food-soiled paper and plant debris can all be disposed of through organics service.  To request organics service, contact Republic Services at 510-262-7100. 

Republic Services Recycling Coordinators provide free training, indoor collection containers and service recommendations to businesses.

RecycleMore

RecycleMore is a local government agency officially known as the "West Contra Costa Integrated Waste Management Authority" (WCCIWMA). RecycleMore helps residences and businesses meet California trash, recycling and composting requirements. Many of the services identified in the tabs to the left are programs made possible by RecycleMore.
