Work Completed This Week
Ghilotti Brothers, Inc. (GBI) placed asphalt pavement within the new extended turn pocket at the Rivers Street and San Pablo Avenue intersection and along the east side of San Pablo Avenue north of La Puerta Road within the widened street section area. GBI also placed asphalt pavement within the “gap” sections adjacent to the new median curb. GBI placed and compacted aggregate base in the new median in preparation for the future installation of decomposed granite and landscaping.
GBI shifted traffic from the outside to the inside lanes and closed the outside lanes along both sides of San Pablo Avenue from Rivers Street to Robert Miller Drive to allow for the start of work within the outside lanes of San Pablo Avenue.
AVAR, the retaining wall subcontractor, started installation of soil production nails as well as any additional verification nails requested by the designer.
MBE, the lighting, and electrical subcontractor was on site to lay out the electrical work and start potholing
